Do you feel unworthy?
Do you feel you’re not good enough?
Do you worry a lot?
Do you find yourself plagued with anxious thoughts and feelings?
Do you battle with illness?
Why me, God?
Perhaps you question your life or your circumstances: past and present.
Perhaps you find yourself wondering why God has allowed certain things to happen to you.
What are these feelings?
You may have been fearful since you were very young, perhaps even in the womb.
You may have sensed that you weren’t wanted or loved, resulting in fear for your future.
You may have been born with fear and anxiety deeply entrenched in you.
Maybe you didn’t want to be born.
Maybe you didn’t want to live.
God knew you before you were conceived.
He formed you in your mother’s womb.
He loved you from before your conception.
For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.
Here is a word from the Lord, that I hope will encourage you.
Worry and racing thoughts.
You will always have thoughts in your mind.
And many of these thoughts will be concerns and worries, as your mind is used to this.
Your mind is created to think, but in this fallen world it thinks too much and worries.
Worry is a consequence of sin, and can be sin.
Worry comes from insecurity. It also comes from fear.
Much of the fear came to you in the womb:
I rejoiced at your conception!
I loved you before you were conceived.
I loved you in the womb, when you were born, and every moment since then.
I knew when you were feeling fear, anxiety, shame, unworthiness, and lack of trust.
I know this world, and I knew these things would affect you.
I chose you for this situation.
I chose your parents,
even though I knew their weaknesses and their sin,
and I knew the possible consequences for you.
I knew you would be my witness and light.
I gave you the ability to overcome, and I knew that,
if you came to me – which you have –
then your life would be a testimony!
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing
in the heavenly places,
even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and blameless before him.
In love he predestined us for adoption to himself
as sons through Jesus Christ,
according to the purpose of his will,
to the praise of his glorious grace,
with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
I know what you have suffered, and the difficulties you have had.
I know that many don’t understand you, or your situation.
You will be misunderstood, and this is also part of the fallen world.
One day, many will understand. They will realise the struggles you’ve had, and they will be amazed at what you have accomplished!
You are my workmanship. And I am proud of you my child!
I love the way you have yielded to me and allowed me to see the dark places, and to heal you.
You have allowed me to truly take you – all of you, and I love you!
I rejoice over you, my child. You are my workmanship!
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
It’s taken courage to allow yourself to be a vessel in my hands,
to allow me to uncover those dark places and deep hurts.
You have worked very hard.
Your work has been one of honouring me and yielding to me; one of obedience.
Your work has been to allow me to truly redeem you!
You shine with my presence, because you have let me in!
This is your offering and sacrifice to me.
Your life is worship!
Don’t feel guilty or be ashamed any longer.
You are beautiful! You are my creation!
I love you so much!!!
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined
to be conformed to the image of his Son,
in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
And those whom he predestined he also called,
and those whom he called he also justified,
and those whom he justified he also glorified.
If you’ve read this and you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, I want you to know that he loves you dearly, and he wants to heal all your pain. He has a special purpose for you. Please read this.
