Trusting God in the hard times

The Lord your God is in your midst,

a mighty one who will save;

he will rejoice over you with gladness;

he will quiet you by his love.

Zeph 3:17

My beloved, I love you so much!

I see and know your struggles.

I know how much you want to rest in me and trust in me.

I know you through and through.

I know your worries and concerns. I know your ideas and your desires.

Trust me for everything, for everything is in my hands.

You belong to me. I cherish you, my child. I love you!

 Be at peace about everything.

Mistakes are made, and that’s okay.

I will always provide for you.

I know your thoughts. I know your desires.

I know your plans.

And I know your desire is to be surrendered to me, to be obedient to me.

Flow in me, and I will lead you,

step by step and moment by moment.

 I love you! I care about the intricate details of your life. I care about every part of your life.

 I know you desire to be submitted to me, and it is happening.

You are my workmanship, and I will complete what I’ve started in you.

 Your life shines with my presence. Even on those days when you don’t feel close to me, I am still with you, and you are still shining with me!

…it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

Do all things without grumbling or disputing,

that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation,

among whom you shine as lights in the world,

holding fast to the word of life….

Phil 2:13b-16a

Trust me.

When you’re anxious, trust me even more!

Trust me to lead you.

Trust that I am working in you. I never stop working in you.

You are my masterpiece, my creation,

and I rejoice in you!

I really do delight in you, my child!

On the bad days, days when you are stressed, tired, or unwell, I am still rejoicing in you!

I see those days as an opportunity for you to submit and surrender even more, and I love it when you do that.

When you keep struggling, it saddens me, for I know how your day could change if you would just stop, and surrender to me.

 You are learning, and I am teaching you.

Be at peace always! I never leave you. I will never forsake you.

Submitting to me on the bad days will give you peace.

On these days, let go of your plans as much as you can, and rest.

Resting allows me to take over.

Resting allows me to restore you.

Resting is surrender.

If you’re busy, and can’t change your plans, then take moments to be aware of me, moments of surrender and submission.

I will speak to you during these moments, as I’m speaking to you always.

Unless the LORD builds the house,

those who build it labor in vain.

Unless the LORD watches over the city,

the watchman stays awake in vain.

It is in vain that you rise up early

and go late to rest,

eating the bread of anxious toil;

for he gives to his beloved sleep.

Psalm 127:1-2
