Longing for My Bride

Jesus is longing for his bride,

the church, even more than we long for him.

Time is going on, and still he hasn’t come for us, and the waiting can be difficult, the opposition from the enemy grows stronger, and the days grow darker.

Here is a poem, a word from Jesus, to each of us who long for him.

Longing for my bride.

Oh my bride, I long for you!
I long to gather you into my arms,
to take you to my chamber,
and to know you completely.
I long to hear my Father say,
“It’s time! Go for your bride, my Son!”
Then heaven will open and I will come!
I will gather my bride,
and we will meet in golden clouds
above the earth!
What joy we will share on that day!
I will look upon you,
and my heart will melt.
I will look into your eyes
and will see your love for me!
I will gather you into my arms
and delight in you!
I will take you to your home in heaven
and will present you to my Father.
He will also delight in you!
You will know love like you’ve never known.
You will know peace, my peace.
And you will be filled with joy unending!
Oh my bride, I long for you!
I long for that day to come!
I am ready, at the door;
and you are ready and waiting,
for my Spirit has made you ready.
You have yielded to my Spirit,
and he has prepared you.
The day is fast approaching,
And as it draws closer,
I know you will experience
greater battles and challenges.
Draw strength from me, my bride,
for I have everything you need
To endure.
The battle is almost over,
and soon you will come home,
to me!

Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour?

Do you have a personal relationship with him?

If not, do you realise your need for him?

Have you become lukewarm in your walk,

and realise your need to recommit your life to Jesus?

Here is a prayer you can say.

Dear Jesus, I am a sinner, and I need you. I thank you for going to the cross to die for me, and for rising again.

I am sorry for everything I have ever done wrong, and I ask you to please wash me clean. I ask you to come into my life to be my Lord and saviour, and I surrender to You.

Please fill me with your Holy Spirit and make me whole. Help me to trust you; help me to love you; help me to live for you. Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen
